Ecléctico is making ears and music streaming algorithms more eclectic, one song at a time, since 2019.
Ecléctico amplifies your connection to music, going deeper with the music you know and further with the music you don’t know yet.
This is what you get delivered to your inbox each weekday morning:
A song you’ll love and have likely never heard before.
Direct links to listen to it on popular music streaming services.
A short excerpt of music journalism about the music and/or musician, with a link to read more.
A photo of the album cover for more context.
An opportunity to directly support the musicians by buying the album or their other music on Bandcamp or another retail outlet (when available).
Ecléctico is free and generously supported by its paying subscribers.
Also, a percentage of paying subscriber proceeds go to organizations that support and advocate for musicians and artists.
I’m Armando and I love music.
One evening, my partner and I were wondering what to listening to. The streaming platform we use knows what we like and gives us good music recommendations based on our listening habits. However, we’re adventurous listeners, and we want to be pushed outside of our comfort zones.
The algorithm just didn’t cut it, so I set out to improve it by exploring and experimenting with styles, genres, and sounds.
How do I do it?
I read tweets by music writers and music lovers on Twitter and via other music newsletters.
I ask my music-loving friends what they’re listening to.
I keep a list of the music that resonates most and share it with you on Ecléctico. Subscribe now and let’s listen to more, together.
